Help Raise California Above Plastics

I’m sure that most of you are doing your part to use less plastic and are reducing, reusing and recycling like good environmental people. But there’s still more to do! Plastic ocean litter is one of the deadliest threats to our marine life, who mistake it for food and/or become entangled.  Our trash is also accumulating in the North Pacific Gyre and changing the very composition of our ocean.  Additionally, beach litter is one of the most unsightly forms of blight that can ruin a summer day.  But now YOU can join Surfrider.org and help California solve this problem by joining the growing list of cities and countries that have chosen to Ban the Bag.  Click HERE to tell your California state representative how you feel and let’s
