2nd Place Nippon Open

I finished up my month in Japan with a second place finish at the Nippon Open, not a bad way to end a pretty crazy pow/filming trip and to kind of re-charge before heading to Russia. The Nippon is your classic Japanese contest scene where the entire tour stays in one giant maze of a hotel eating rice and miso at every meal, and the hangs in the lobby interneting day and night and generally goes crazy and of course there’s Karoke too. The weather added to the insanity with howling winds and dumping snow making for some fun pow days and some not so fun practice and semi-final days but in true contest fashion the sun came out for finals and the pipe was soft and fun. I ended up second behind Torah with a 9, crippler, BS5, and a FS7. You can see the Nippon Open finals on Go211, and here are the women’s final runs. Off to Russia…
