The Women’s Sports Foundation is an amazing group of women dedicated to advancing the lives of women through sports and physical activity. For the past 30 years, they have helped to increase the positive coverage of women in women’s sports, they have helped shape the public’s attitude about women and sports for women and have continued to push for equality both on and off the field. I am excited to be a part of the 2008 Athlete Advisory board along with Sarah Burke, Lindsay Harding, Jessica Mendoza, Aimee Mullins, Angela Hucles, Stacey Nuveman and Angela Ruggiero, and excited to continue to encourage and support women in sports.
