Meet ALEX!

Meet ALEX, the latest and greatest in portable stainless steel water bottles. The fact is, %90 of water bottles aren’t recycled so unless you want to contribute to the ever growing plastic island floating in the middle of the ocean we all need to carry our own ALEX bottles. The best part is, that ALEX bottles are BPA free so your water is non-toxic and due to the ingenious designers at ALEX these bottles untwist in the middle making them easy to clean and easy to mix and match just like my GB Collection from Oakley. It gets better….. from now until May 20th you can get them for %30-%50 off on www.alexbottle.com.

Ways To Celebrate Earth Day!

Happy Earth Day everyone! I Hope everyone is doing something to celebrate our Earth today and/or this weekend. I know there are a lot of opportunities to volunteer around your community to pick up trash and plant trees, so do some research and get involved! My family and I are planning to volunteer this Saturday for San Diego’s Creek to Bay Cleanup Day; check it out: http://creektobay.org

I’ve also gotten inspired to research home energy efficiency and renewable energy improvements. Check out this site for tons of amazing ideas from home energy assessments to ways to use solar energy in your home and more: http://www.energysavers.gov/

Finally, if you can’t dedicate time to volunteer this Earth Day (or even if you can), then definitely check out this video called “The Cycle of Insanity: The Real Story of Water” to learn the truth behind our water cycle but solutions to fix it! http://www.surfridersd.org/
