California Speedway Series to watch the NASCAR Nationwide Series

A few weeks ago I went out to Fontana California to show my support for Oakley’s first ever wrapped car in the NASCAR Nationwide Series. With Pit Passes and chili dogs in hand, we went trackside to see and hear the action for ourselves.

After the Olympics in 2006, Hannah Teeter and I were invited to start the race and wave the green flag at the Daytona 500; so I didn’t hesitate for a second when asked to come and watch the Oakley car race.  Although, Oakley didn’t walk away with the checkered flag they definitely had the coolest pit stop on the track along with the best looking car.  Along with that, they had legendary formula one race car driver turned NASCAR hell-man Juan Pablo Montoya hanging out to watch the action before his big race the next day in the Sprint Cup Series.

So, after the last care crossed the finish line, the last chili dog was eaten, and everyone had bought NASCAR t-shirts, it was time to head home.

This was an awesome experience for all,  and I highly advise anyone out there to attend the next NASCAR event in your local area: and I definitely recommend you purchase earplugs!
